How GPU server billing works

One flat price per server, paid monthly in advance from a prepaid US dollar balance that you top up in crypto. No setup fee, no hourly meter, and an email reminder before renewals.

Here is how GPU server billing works at OverGPU: you pay one flat price per server for each month, in advance, from a prepaid account balance in US dollars. You fund that balance with crypto top-ups, and the first month and every renewal are paid from it. Prices exclude VAT and other taxes, which are added where applicable, and there is no setup fee and no hourly meter. Plans renew automatically, and we email you a reminder before renewals.

What the monthly price covers

The price on our pricing page is for the whole server, for one month. It includes the GPUs, the listed CPU, RAM and local NVMe storage, a public IPv4 address with an IPv6 /64, DDoS mitigation on public IPs, our OS images, outbound bandwidth and 24/7 support.

The price does not depend on usage. It is the same whether your GPUs run at full load around the clock or sit idle. Spread over the roughly 730 hours in a month, a single NVIDIA H100 at $2,190 per month works out to about $3.00 per GPU-hour if you keep it busy.

That model suits steady workloads such as training runs, fine-tuning and inference serving. If you only need a GPU for a few hours or days, hourly billing can cost less; our monthly vs hourly GPU pricing comparison explains the trade-off.

Your prepaid balance and the top-up bonus

Every server is paid from your OverGPU account balance, which is kept in US dollars. You add funds with a top-up of $100 to $10,000 in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Monero (XMR), Tether USDT on TRON (TRC-20) or Solana (SOL), and it is credited automatically once the network confirms the payment. Card payments are not available yet. The steps are in our guide to paying with crypto.

Every top-up earns bonus credit: +5% for every full $100 in a single top-up, up to +50% from $1,000. A $250 top-up gives you $275 of credit, and a $1,000 top-up gives you $1,500. Bonus credit can pay for any OverGPU service and is spent after your paid credit. It has no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or refunded.

When you are charged

  • Order: on the deployment page, you choose the configuration, OS image, optional software and login (root password or SSH key) you want, and create a free account or log in, all in the same form. Your server is delivered in under 10 minutes after payment.
  • First month: the first month is paid from your balance when you order, and your order becomes binding once it is paid. If your balance is short, you top up in the same form: the order is held for 3 hours and paid automatically as soon as the top-up is credited, and if it is not paid within 3 hours, it is cancelled and nothing is charged. Your first month starts on the day your server is delivered.
  • Renewals: plans renew automatically every month, and each renewal is paid from your balance. We email you a reminder before renewals, and your dashboard shows whether your balance covers the next one.
  • Short balance: if your balance does not cover a renewal, you have 72 hours to add funds, and adding funds pays the overdue renewal automatically. After that, the server may be suspended. A server suspended for 7 days ends, and its disks are securely erased.

Our guide to renewals and cancellation explains how to stop a renewal from your dashboard, with no fee.

Fees you will not pay

  • No setup fee, and creating an account is free.
  • No egress fees within the included bandwidth: 20 TB per month on single-GPU plans and 50 TB per month on 8-GPU servers, under fair use. Inbound traffic is not counted. See bandwidth and egress.
  • No usage charges: no per-hour meter and no stopped-server charges.

The network fee of a crypto top-up, and any exchange withdrawal fee, is paid by the sender. Prices exclude VAT and other taxes, which are added where applicable. You get an invoice for every server payment and renewal, and a receipt for every top-up, in the Billing section of your dashboard; see invoices and VAT.

Price and plan changes

Your price is fixed for each paid month. We may change prices for future months, but only after giving you at least 30 days' notice, and you can cancel before the change takes effect.

You can also change plans. Request the change from your server's page in the dashboard, which opens a ticket with our engineers: upgrades apply mid-month with a prorated charge from your balance, and moves to a smaller plan apply at your next renewal, subject to stock. See upgrades and plan changes.

The binding rules for prices, your balance, payment methods and renewals are in sections 5, 6 and 8 of our terms of service.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a setup fee?

No. Creating an account is free, there is no setup fee, and you pay each month in advance from your prepaid balance.

Do I pay less if my GPU sits idle?

No. The monthly price is flat, so it is the same whether the GPU runs at full load or sits idle, which keeps your bill predictable.

What happens if my balance does not cover a renewal?

You have 72 hours to add funds, and adding funds pays the overdue renewal automatically. After that the server may be suspended, and a server suspended for 7 days ends and its disks are securely erased.

Do you accept card payments?

Not yet. Card payments are coming soon; for now, you top up your balance with BTC, ETH, XMR, USDT (TRC-20) or SOL.

Still stuck?

Open a ticket from your dashboard with the server, what you ran and any error output. An engineer replies 24/7.
