The short answer to how long to get a GPU server from OverGPU: single-GPU and 8-GPU servers are delivered in under 10 minutes after payment, whether they are in stock or in limited stock.

## From order to root access

1. **Choose a configuration.** Start on the [deployment page](https://overgpu.com/deploy). Optional notes for our engineers can cover your workload, a required country or region, or private networking between your servers.
2. **Set up the OS image, software and login.** Choose the image, any software to preinstall, and how you log in: a root password, generated for you or your own, or an SSH public key.
3. **Create an account or log in.** You do it in the same form, and creating an OverGPU account is free.
4. **Pay the first month from your balance.** Your order becomes binding at this point. If your balance does not cover the first month, top up in the same form; see [paying with crypto](https://overgpu.com/help/paying-with-crypto).
5. **Get root access within 10 minutes of payment.** The server's IP address and SSH details appear in your dashboard, and you log in as root over SSH with your password or SSH key. Your first month starts on the day of delivery.

You pay only in step 4, after you have seen the configuration and the monthly price. Top-ups are credited automatically once the network confirms the payment. When you top up in the form, your order is held for 3 hours and paid automatically as soon as the top-up is credited; if it is not paid within 3 hours, it is cancelled and nothing is charged.

## How long each type of order takes

- **In-stock servers** are delivered in under 10 minutes after payment, for a single GPU or an 8-GPU server. Our [GPU pages](https://overgpu.com/gpus) show live prices and stock.
- **Limited stock** does not slow delivery: those servers are also delivered in under 10 minutes after payment.
- **Rack-scale systems** such as the GB300 NVL72 are ordered by reservation request from the deployment page. Nothing is charged when you send it: our team confirms the allocation, price, term and location in writing, then you accept and pay from your balance.
- **Orders that need verification** are reviewed promptly. Most orders need only an account and a funded balance; see [identity verification](https://overgpu.com/help/identity-verification).

We may decline an order when stock is not available, when required verification is not completed, or when providing the service would breach applicable law.

## What you get on day one

- **Access:** Root over SSH with your password or SSH key; IP address and login details in your dashboard
- **OS images:** Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04 with NVIDIA drivers, CUDA, Docker and the NVIDIA Container Toolkit preinstalled; ROCm images for AMD; Debian or Rocky Linux on request
- **Network:** A public IPv4 address and an IPv6 /64, with DDoS mitigation on public IPs
- **Storage:** Local NVMe, as listed for your configuration

Private networking between your servers is available on request. Our [quickstart guide](https://overgpu.com/docs/quickstart) covers your first steps on the server, and the [OS images guide](https://overgpu.com/docs/os-images) covers the available images. The order steps and the delivery commitment are set out in sections 4 and 7 of our [terms of service](https://overgpu.com/legal/terms).

## Frequently asked questions

### When does my order become binding?

When you pay the first month from your balance. The monthly price is shown before you pay, and single-GPU and 8-GPU servers are delivered in under 10 minutes after payment. The server's location appears in your dashboard from delivery; if you need a specific country or region, state it in the order notes.

### When does my first month start?

On the day your server is delivered, not on the day you pay. Your renewals then follow monthly from that date.

### Can I choose the operating system?

Yes. Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04 come with NVIDIA drivers, CUDA, Docker and the NVIDIA Container Toolkit preinstalled, AMD servers use ROCm images, and Debian or Rocky Linux are available on request.
